season information

Crossfire will field 1-3 teams per age division (12U through 17U) for the spring season. Practices emphasize skill development; our number one goal for our athletes is to improve their basketball skills while learning how to work effectively within a team.
  • Practices start mid-March and run through June/July, depending on the team.
  • Compete in MN and the Midwest tournaments, including Prep Hoops Circuit and Prep Hoops Next.
  • Midwest Basketball Training provides player development training, and Zion Performance provides sports nutrition education.
  • Teams play in 6 to 10 tournaments with up to 3 out-of-town.
  • 12U-15U tryouts occur in late Jan, and 16U-17U teams are formed via a thorough recruiting process. Tryouts may be held if needed.
  • We have two practices a week until school is out, and then we have one practice a week. Our primary practice facility is the Maple Grove Community Gyms (MGMM).
  • Fees range from $1,100 to $1,500 based on age, number/type of tournaments, and number of players on the team. Fees cover coaching/training, practices, tournaments, and team uniforms.

Midwest Basketball Training

Crossfire is excited to team up with Midwest Basketball Training for in-season development. MBT trains each boys' team twice: once at MBT Maple Grove and once at one of our practices.

As a special offer, MBT is extending one free session for any 2024 Crossfire player at one of  five training locations: Brooklyn Park, Blaine, Maple Grove, or Rogers.

Contact aaron@midwestbasketballtraining.com to receive your first free training session.

The Crossfire Difference

  • Faith-based leadership development is integrated into our process, setting aside weekly time for team building and group interaction.
  • Take a holistic approach to player development, focusing on the mind, body, and heart.
  • We partner with outside groups to help with targeted skill development (Midwest Basketball Training) and sports nutrition training (ZION Performance).
  • Top-flight practice facilities in the NW metro area.
  • Hire experienced coaches who lead with positive reinforcement and player development.
  • Multi-sport athletes are welcome. If desired and doable, our athletes can play other sports.
  • Exposure: Our teams play in the best tournaments. Many of our alums are playing at the collegiate level. If desired, we will work to help our high school players land in college programs.
