Boys 2025 Spring Team Info

season info

Crossfire will field 1-3 teams per age division (13U through 17U) for the spring season. Practices have a heavy emphasis on skill development; our number one goal for our athletes is to improve their basketball skills. Tournament schedules and costs are dependent on the age and competitiveness of each team.
  • Practices start mid-March and run through June/July, depending on team
  • Compete in top tournaments in MN and the Midwest, including Prep Hoops and Prep Hoops Circuit
  • Player development training by Midwest Basketball Training
  • Teams are fielded based on experience and positional needs
  • 13U-15U tryouts take place in late Jan, 16U-17U teams are formed via recruiting
  • Coaches select players mostly via recruiting (submit inquiry form below) or via tryouts if needed
  • Most teams practice at Maple Grove Community Gyms (MGMM)
  • Fees range from $1,100-$1,500 based on age, number/type of tournaments, number of players on the team
  • Experienced coaches who help develop mind, body and heart
  • Multi-sport athletes welcome

The Crossfire Difference

  1. A faith-based program. We use the game of basketball to teach Biblical principles.
  2. Skill development: Our coaches spend a minimum of 60% of their practice time on skill development and fundamentals. Our coaches do not take shortcuts in the area of skill development to win games.
  3. Best practice facilities of any club in town.
  4. We do not hire “screamers” as coaches. Our coaches lead with positive reinforcement, blending that with accountability expectations.
  5. We welcome multi-sport athletes, versus making things difficult for them.  We think kids should play other sports, and make reasonable accommodations for spring sports schedules.
  6. Exposure: We play in the best tournaments, and many of our alumni are playing college sports. We work very hard to help our high school players land in college programs.
